I am Willie Potgieter, the owner and founder of Aircraft & Engine Sources. I am in the aviation industry since 1972. I have worked on aircraft since 1972. I have worked on 26 different types of aircraft and many engine types during all these years. I am an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. I am a holder of a F.A.A. Airframe & Power plant license and an ICAO Type 2 license. I am still current on both. During these years I had many company approvals and presently hold approvals on B747, A300, B767 and MD11 aircraft. I worked on passenger and freighter aircrafts, narrow body and wide body aircrafts, jet aircrafts and propeller aircrafts. I have done Heavy Maintenance as well as Line Maintenance. I was involved in many avionic modifications and installations. I also worked on passenger to freighter conversions on B747, B757 and MD11.
My company, Aircraft & Engine Sources, is situated here in Europe and is there to provide a service back to the aviation industry and to people in this industry. I am there to help aircraft- and engine buyers. I am there to assist you and to look what is best for your requirements. I also look into the equipment fitted on the aircraft to see if it meets the required standards. I have a close look into life items on both aircraft and engines. In the end you still need to make the final decision as the buyer.
